Country guide
Australia
Strong in engineering, health and business, with post study work rights that depend on your qualification level and where you study.
- Study applications
- Work visa, if you already hold an offer
Australia is on this site for study. Its universities are strong in engineering, health sciences and business, and post study work rights are meaningful, though they vary by qualification level and by where in the country you study.
Migration advice for Australia is a regulated profession. Skillvelop provides documentation support and application preparation, not regulated migration advice, and we will tell you when you need a registered migration agent instead.

Read this before you plan around it
Being in a shortage occupation is not eligibility. It usually changes a salary threshold, a points score or a processing queue, and it never removes the need to qualify. These lists are also revised often, so treat this as where demand has been concentrated rather than a promise about today.

Refusals
Why applications get refused, and what helps
- 01
The genuine student requirement is not satisfied
What helps
Your statement has to make the course follow logically from your background and your plans. This is the most common refusal ground and it is about coherence, not about your marks. - 02
Funds that are insufficient or not properly evidenced
What helps
Document the source as well as the amount, and hold the funds for as long as the guidance requires. - 03
An undeclared previous visa refusal
What helps
Declare every refusal from every country. Concealment is treated far more seriously than the original refusal.
Immigration rules change constantly, and a page like this is a starting point rather than an authority. Every figure here is approximate and every claim links to the government source that governs it. Before you commit money to any of it, check the current position, or ask us to check it against your profile.
