Country guide

Ireland

English speaking, inside the EU, with a two year post study permit and a technology sector that actually hires.

  • Study applications
  • Work visa, if you already hold an offer

Ireland is the English speaking country inside the European Union, which is most of its appeal. A one year taught master's, a post study permit that gives graduates two years to find work, and a concentration of technology and pharmaceutical employers around Dublin and Cork.

The catch is housing. Dublin has a genuine and well documented accommodation shortage, and students who arrive without something arranged can spend months and a great deal of money solving it. Treat accommodation as part of the application, not an afterthought.

We cover Ireland for study applications. We do not currently offer a work abroad service for Ireland.

What it costs

Our fee, and everybody else's

Two different piles of money. The second one is almost always larger, and a quote that does not mention it is not cheaper, it is less complete.

Starting prices for the services we run for Ireland. Every package has a published price and an exclusions list, and the scope is agreed in writing before you pay anything.

  • Study abroad

  • Profile building

For people who are not eligible yet. A written plan for the twelve months that would make you eligible, and the work to get there.

    From₹9,000

    What is included

Already have a job offer?
We support work abroad for any country on this site, whether or not you already hold an offer. Where you have one, the work is the visa file. Where you do not, it is route selection, eligibility scoring and the search itself.

These are starting prices. Every package and every exclusion is on the pricing page, at the same figures quoted on a call.

Who is being hired

Occupations in demand in Ireland

The Critical Skills Occupations List is the route worth knowing: it carries faster permission and an easier path to residence.
  • Software developers and ICT specialists
  • Nurses and healthcare professionals
  • Engineers across most disciplines
  • Finance, risk and actuarial
  • Pharmaceutical and medtech specialists

Read this before you plan around it
Being in a shortage occupation is not eligibility. It usually changes a salary threshold, a points score or a processing queue, and it never removes the need to qualify. These lists are also revised often, so treat this as where demand has been concentrated rather than a promise about today.

Indicative, last reviewed 26 August 2026. The position that governs is on Irish employment permits.

The bigger picture

Costs that are not fees at all

Tuition, housing and the things that decide whether a plan is affordable in the second year as well as the first.
Costs of moving to Ireland, with a note on each.
Tuition for a taught master'sHigher than continental Europe, lower than comparable US programmes. Compare the total for the whole course, since most are one year.Published per programme by each university
Proof of fundsHeld and evidenced. Separate from the tuition you have already paid.A published annual figure
Private medical insurancePublic healthcare is not available to you on a student permission in the way it is to residents.Mandatory, paid before the permission is granted
AccommodationDublin has a documented shortage. Secure something before you travel, and budget above what listings suggest. The largest variable, and the biggest risk
Immigration registrationRegistration is required and appointments can take time to obtain.A published fee, paid after arrival

Refusals

Why applications get refused, and what helps

Almost all of these are mechanical rather than substantive, which means almost all of them are preventable by somebody reading the file carefully before it is submitted.
  1. 01

Funds that do not meet the published figure, or appeared recently

    What helps
Meet the stated amount, hold it for a reasonable period, and document where it came from.

  2. 02

A course that does not follow from your background

    What helps
Ireland assesses the coherence of your education history. Explain any change of field or any gap directly.

  3. 03

Programme not on the eligible list

    What helps
Check the Interim List of Eligible Programmes before applying. A course that is not on it does not carry student permission.

Immigration rules change constantly, and a page like this is a starting point rather than an authority. Every figure here is approximate and every claim links to the government source that governs it. Before you commit money to any of it, check the current position, or ask us to check it against your profile.

Other countries

Comparing this against somewhere else

The cheapest sticker price is very often not the cheapest total. Every country page carries the same two cost tabs, so they can be compared line for line.
