South Korea funds international students seriously. The Global Korea Scholarship covers tuition, a living stipend, airfare and a year of Korean language training, and it is open to Indian applicants at both master's and doctoral level. Universities run their own scholarship schemes on top of that.
Engineering, materials science and electronics departments are strong and closely tied to industry. There is a real English taught offer at graduate level, particularly at the leading technical institutions.
Korean decides how much of the country is available to you. Graduate research can run in English, but daily life, part time work and most corporate recruitment do not, which is why the government scholarship builds in a language year.
We cover South Korea for study and scholarship applications. We do not run a job search here, though we will prepare your work visa file if an employer has already made you an offer.

Read this before you plan around it
Being in a shortage occupation is not eligibility. It usually changes a salary threshold, a points score or a processing queue, and it never removes the need to qualify. These lists are also revised often, so treat this as where demand has been concentrated rather than a promise about today.

Route 01
D-2 student visa
People admitted to a Korean degree programme.
Requirements
- A certificate of admission from a recognised university
- Evidence of funds at the level the university certifies
- Academic transcripts, apostilled
- A tuberculosis test certificate from a designated hospital
Route 02
Global Korea Scholarship
Strong graduate applicants willing to apply through the embassy or a university track.
Requirements
- Application through the embassy track or a designated university track
- Academic results within the published thresholds
- Willingness to complete a year of Korean language training
- A health check meeting the programme's standard
